Fairly recent horror/sci-film film about an experimental house

I've not actually watched this film but remember seeing publicity for it, over 2 years ago but not nore than 7. I think the starting premise is a group of people going to an isolated(?) house but then things start happening in the house - more of a scientific/techncal nature. I'm pretty sure someone's controlling the house - possibly from a secret room inside but I'm not sure. A large forcefield-type thing rings a vague bell as well.

This has been bugging me for weeks now - hope someone can help. Sorry I don't have more detail but, as I said, I haven't actually watched it.

"The Cabin in the Woods" (2012)

As you said, someone is controlling the house, and you can even see the force field in the trailer.
