French Film about a man who hides in a convent, posing as a nun to escape the nazis?

The film is French. Not sure when it was filmed - I suspect 60's / 70's maybe?

It is set during the second world war.

The main character is a young man who hides from the Nazi's in a convent - he poses as a nun. Dressing and acting as a woman. He falls in love with one of the nuns.

It is set in winter - the snow features heavily throughout the film - it has great cinematography...

I watched it when I was much younger so cannot remember much else - I just remember it being very striking and would love to see it again now I'm older...

Thanks to anyone who can help.
