There was a movie called "The Ultimate Gift", that is like this, sort of, but it is a grandson instead of a daughter.
Was this american? When/where did you see it?

I know this movie too. It is about a daughter, the dad gets tired of always getting her out of trouble. She's lazy and he finally tells her he's stopping all aid/help/money until she helps someone and changes. I think he actually puts her out on the street with nothing. I know she tries to tell others her father is rich and he'll help them if they help her, but no one believes her.

I found it! The movie is called: "Maid to Order" with Ally Sheedy made in 1987
