Song played on WBCN in Boston in the early 1980s: I'm not going work today

Seemingly minor or local hit played on WBCN. Possibly older than the 1980s as the station’s playlist was all over the map. Reggae style with the most repeated line being "I'm not going to work today, no way." The one verse I remember the most clearly is: "Born on a Monday, christened on a Tuesday, married on a Thursday, died on a Friday. Lord, poor man never had the time to spend all his pay"

Maybe Big Youth - Solomon A Gunday
Sadly, that isn't the song :(
Nope, that's not it either.

I have been searching for this song recently. It is called "No Work Today" by a roots reggae musician, Ras Karbi. It wasn't easy but I found this info in an interview with him posted online at the following link:

Unfortunately I have not been able to find the song itself. The reason is in that interview; Ras recorded some music that was never put to vinyl. But the tapes made it to some radio stations. This one was a big hit in Boston because of WBCN.

The only hope of getting a copy may be to either find someone who recorded it off the radio, or to contact someone from WBCN who has access to it.

This must be the one! I know a few BCN DJs via Facebook so hopefully now armed with the title and the artist's name I can track down a copy.
Seems Charles Laquidara was also on a quest to track down this song, only he had the song but not the artist's name!
