late 1980's, early 1990's, film noir or indie type movie, 3 couples in separate rooms of a motel, one of them an asian couple?, all action takes place through one night only, not sure if they meet up

movie came out late 1980's, early 1990's, film noir or indie type movie, 3 couples in separate rooms of a motel, one of them an asian couple?, a just married couple?, all action takes place through one night only, not sure if they meet up at the end of the movie or if it just examines them seperately, their individual dynamics / relationships, camera slides from room to room which are situated beside each other, a divey kind of place, goes into their thoughts too? or possibly not.... any ideas?

Possibly called "Four Rooms" by Quentin Tarantino.  Your title fits this almost to a "T" but the main character (the bell hop) wasn't mentioned so I'm betting this isn't quite right.
Thank you for your reply. Checked out some clips on YouTube for 'Four Rooms' but it's not the movie. The movie I am thinking of is a lot darker than this and set in a seedy off road motel in the middle of nowhere, people lying in their beds talking, etc. 'Four Rooms' definitely looks like a movie I would enjoy though so I am going to get myself a copy to watch. Thanks. :)
First it sounded a bit like Jim Jarmusch's "Mystery Train" but thats not three couples but has some similaryties to what you look for
Yes, this is the movie!! Thank you so much! This movie has been nagging on my mind off and on for over 20 years and finally I get to rediscover and watch it again. I am also going to check out the rest of Jim Jarmusch's movies. Hallelujah! I love when mysteries are solved. :)
