Road movie

I've asked this question before, but I did not get the correct answer yet. Here it comes again.

Looking for the name of a movie which is probably filmed  between 1995-2001. I guess it is an American or a Canadian movie.  I can't remember the whole story, but it was something about a two teenagers or university students were running away or just having a road vacation. I can't remember if they were hitchhiking and taken by another van, or they were traveling by their own van and taken the two other guys  into their van. Anyhow,  they were kind of kidnapped by those two guys and at the end of the movie the guys shot them and had thrown them into a wild water along the road which is among the huge rocks. If I'm not wrong it was going undergorund like a waterfall. Where they were thrown into water was like national park with lots of trees and mountainous place like somewhere north of USA or Canada. Can anyone remember the movie and tell me the name of it please?

Their tenacious pursuit of clues uncovers the grim details of her sons fate, leading to a shocking climax.

SPOILERS about what happens to him: The young man is heading for college in his van, his first trip far away from home. At one point, two men overpower him (as I recall) but take him with them in the van. Along the way, they stop near a high bluff overlooking a fast-running river; they stab him multiple times then throw him down into the river. It's a brutal, horrifying scene!

Yes, I found the movie and looked at it. Indeed this is the movie. Human mind/memory is strange. The last parts of the movie where the guy tells how they did it, had stayed in my mind as the whole movie.  The murder scene had then an impact on me. But when I saw the scene of the murder and the place I recognised the movie clearly. Thanks :-)
