A movie (possibly sci-fi) with a young man who gets a green "burger" from a vending machine.

This is for a friend.

All he has said was that, shortly after the opening, a young man goes into a diner (of sorts) goes to a vending machine and gets a "green burger." Not sure if it was just a patty or what. The film should be in color, no later than the 80's and might actually be sci-fi, or later on set in space.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Long shot, maybe "Soylet Green".  It has food that is green.
