00's Comedy/family drama, suicide in the end, Woody Allen/Wes Anderson like

I'm looking for a movie, presumably from the 00's. It's a comedy/family drama but I don't remember much of the plot. Just that it was about a big, very neurotic family (set in New York possibly, maybe a jewish family?) and that the grandfather commits suicide/tries to commit suicide in the end. I think he was a writer or something like that. In the end they may have had a family-reunion because of something. A sickness or a festivity of some kind. It's not the Royal Tennenbaums but I think the film is kind of Wes Anderson/Woody Allen like. Please help!
