3-4 strangers randomly meet, all having bad phases in their life. In one scene they drive down a highway with eyes closed to feel "alive"(?)

I really can't remember a lot of this movie but here it goes. 3-4 strangers happen to meet within a day, most of it happening at evening, night, in a medium sized town. They drive a around in A's car. A has something like feeling meaningless/depression. Not sure about the others but I think they bond over similar issues. They drive around aimlessly, talking. In one scene someone suggest driving the vehicle on the highway with eyes closed, as that gives the sensation of feeling alive, or similar. I think I can remember them making a stop at a fast food place, possible picking up one more like minded. I think it was a small budget film (they only show them driving, duh) and no widely know actors.

Sadly nearly all of this might be wrong, except the eyes closed highway scene.

Thank you for trying to help.

No, the movie is quite a lot older. 1990ish maybe.

The characters are also older 35+ I'd say.
