70s or 80s Violent action movie I remember very little of?

It's been quite awhile since I saw this, but I remember being told that I saw an edited version. I'd guessed that the un-edited version was from the infamous 'video nasty' list, but I cannot seem to isolate what it is. It may, in fact, not be on the list at all.

The only thing I remember about the film is that it was about a news reporter (female) and her camera man (possibly, but it was a male companion at the very least) goes to a third-world country to report on the state of the country there.

There is another group of people in the country already, if I recall two men and a dark haired woman. The other two men are killed, the woman survives but was raped. She meets up with the protagonists, but I recall that she was later killed.

The only other scene I remember of this film was the end, where the lead terrorist (?) had managed to get aboard the plane with the reporter and her companion, where he tried to kill them. The female reporter kills him with a shotgun.

It took me almost a year to find it, but it was Cut and Run (1985)

After reading more about it, I must have seen the US cut that was fairly edited.
