90s maybe early 2000

I saw this when I was younger so like 90s early 2000s.

All i remember is there was a lady who had curly black hair who was with a guy but she leaves him to be with another guy who I believe abused her. There was a scene where they guy she loves comes to see her. Her back is turned to the camera and  you could see there was a bruise on her back because she was wearing a spaghetti shirt.  

Maybe the guys were rivals because they were in some sort of competition. Maybe with the mechanical bull. I think they wore clothing like cowboys with the hat, long sleeved shirt, jeans and boots.
