Mid to late 90's possibly 1998, Hall Mark, Lifetime movie needing to find out. A lady searching for truth behind her mothers death in a small town.

This Movie portrays a woman seeking for the truth behind her mothers death in a small town.

She goes to stay in the small town, in a guesthouse, where she finds the owner of the guesthouse to be quite nosy and she seems slightly annoyed by her.

While asking questions around the town, she meets and strikes up a relationship with the local Author. He happens to live a little bit out of the small town, as it is evident that the towns sheriff/mayor does not like him particularly much.

As the story progresses, it turns out that this woman investigating her Mothers past and death, learns that her mother in fact had a relationship going on with the sheriff/mayor and during an argument she slipped and fell down to her death in a quarry.

If this helps: The main actress looks very similar to Maggie from the tv series Resurrection. (Devin Kelley).

I will be forever indebted to the person who can assist me!!!! I've searched the deepest darkest corners of the internet and come up with zilch!!
