Domestic Violence(80's-early 90's)

Hello everyone!

I am looking for a movie i watched (about 15-20 years ago maybe). It is a domestic violence movie where the wife often gets beaten by her husband, and every time she tries to tell someone, her husband beats her harder. I know the end, she told someone about her abusive husband, her husband beated her so hard until her face turned blue and she ended uo in the hospital not able to speak anymore and with broken leg...her husband (pretending to be a good husband) brought her home( she was sitting in a wheelchair with broken leg and blue face, not able to speak ever again, she tried to tell the people around her in the hospital when he wanted to pick her up, but no one seem to be suspicious about him as he looks like a decent and good husband.
