Hippy who inherits his parents house and fortune is left with dilemna of raising his young school age brother and employs an overweight but big-hearted nanny nanny.

Shown on English TV during mid/late 1980s. English hippy inherits parent's house and fortune and spends summer smoking weed and playing frisbee with friends but then employs a young nanny for his kid brother due to start school. She does really well with the boy, ensuring he is smartly dressed and prepared or returning to school at the beginning of a new school year. She helps him lead a relatively normal life within the chaos of a house frequented by drug users and firmly refuses to partake of a joint offerred her .Things come to a sad and abrupt end when she and the boy are out in a boat on a remote stretch of river  and the boat capsizes. The boy floats to the surface but the nanny is nowhere to be seen,leaving the question of what will become of him, his future and life with his feckless brother and friends.
