The climax of this movie, set in historical China, is a battle in the courtyard of a palace (possibly the emperor's Forbidden City) in rain and darkness, where the opposing armies consist of soldiers in colour co-ordinated uniforms, one side in gold or yellow, the other in red or silver (? or some contrasting colour), ending with big piles of colourful dead bodies spattered with brightly coloured blood and a large gaudy flower (possible a chrysanthemum) seen in close-up.

Chinese historical drama, red army against yellow army in night battle at the palace.
