Movie that's sort of like pride and prejudice era

Okay basically it might be a film or a series but it's got a girl in it who gets proposed to and is inlove with this man but he says he has to go away for a year before he marries her. So she's all waiting for him and devoted and then one day this woman takes her to the opera and at a party the women's brother seduces her and they kiss, and then she meets up with her finances sister and is like "tell your brother I can't marry him I'm sorry." she then tries to run away with the person she cheats on but her friend finds out and stops her (because the man she was running away with was already married anyway and a bit dodgy) so her family lock her in her room or something so she can't run away cause then no man would ever want to marry her
