looking for a old movie with medusa

I watched it on Netherlands tv 10 years ago.
There's a group of people traveling together, they are on a ship.
They sail into some kind of building where they find statues of people.
They somehow figure out its medusa.
They find out that this medusa isnt a bad person and medusa travels further with them on the ship and she's wearing sunglasses.
The ship gets attacked and she try's to stone one of the enemy's instead she stones a friend.
They then search together for some kind of tree of life which can unstone him
I dont recall this being a sinbad movie.
It isnt a cartoon or animation.
And the movie is spoken in english.
And medusa isnt a monster but a pretty human.

"Voyage of the Unicorn" (2001 TV miniseries)
starring Beau Bridges
IMDb synopsis:
"Voyage of the Unicorn", based on the novel "Voyage of the Basset" by James C. Christensen, tells the story of Professor Alan Aisling and his two daughters, Cassie and Miranda, trying to overcome the death of their mother. They soon embark on a mystical journey on the majestic ship the Unicorn, assisted by two denizens of this fantastic world. They encounter creatures such as the Minotaur and Medusa while trying to save the King and Queen of the Faeries from the evil troll Skotos.

Copy and paste this at YouTube, and you can watch Part 1. The rest is available, too.

Thx, i did not know it was a miniserie
You're welcome! I identify this one frequently at several "movie mystery" sites.
I dont know any sites except this 1
I started out at Yahoo!Answers Movies, moved on to one at a site for horror fans, thenn found What's That Movie on HubPages, and, prior to this, came across the I Need to Know forum at IMDb. It's interesting to see when someone posts a question at several sites. Deja vu=} I used to drop by a couple of other sites, but one has been closed down, and the other... Well, I'm not sure why I haven't visited it for a long time. I just happened across this one only a few days ago.

There are a lot of unsolved movie/TV mysteries out there!
