Hey Experts! What prizes do you want?

We launched waaay stronger than we expected and NameThatMovie has really caught traction and the momentum isn't going to stop.

A cash prize was a strong prize to start on. We hope everyone had fun competing. Yes, competing :). Movie expert Edward Peregrine ( http://namethatmovie.org/user/Edward+Peregrine ) just won $100.

While the core of NameThatMovie's purpose is to help movie lovers find what they're looking for another side is for movie experts to have some fun and friendly competition with the points system and prize incentives.

So, for the next prize we're going to go with something more tangible and fun than cash. IMDbPro subscriptions, iTunes gift cards, movie tickets, BluRay box sets?

The new Blade Runner BluRay Box Set is just around the corner!

What would you love to see?

Sure cash prizes are always good. I'm here because I'm a crazed movie fan, so box sets or move tickets would also be great!

Amazon gift cards and IMDB pro memberships would be cool. Netflix subscriptions maybe?

Not everyone has blu-ray (whatever that is), and not all of us have DVD players (nixing NetFlix(?). So, there should be options for some of us who aren't quite in the 21st century. Or, maybe I'm the lone holdout.

It would be nice to win something someday. Money would be best of all, I have to admit, but that's because I'm on Disability.

It's just that certain choices would leave some contributors out in the cold. Would there be enough variation to allow for someone like that?

We'd always happily work with the winner to meet their needs. For instance, if they couldn't use whatever the listed prize was, we'd probably just give them the cash equivalent.
Thank you for your speedy reply! I accidentally happened upon this site and have been enjoying myself a great deal, as I do love movie/TV mysteries! I'm not a winner ever, so I have no hopes of that. But, it's nice to know that you have considered those of us who might not be up-to-date. *smile*
Maybe a good prize could be a Netflix ready Blu-ray player to enjoy the best of both worlds?
To be very truthful, I'm older and I don't want any of those new gadgets. I'll stick with my beloved VCR. Of course, I'll never win, but money would be wonderful when it comes time to fill prescriptions or even get some groceries.

I'm not really a dreamer, so, again, this likely won't affect a fossil like me. *giggle*

i don't understand the new stuff like DVDs and Netflix and Blu-Ray except that they're very expensive. Good ol' Wal-Mart still has VHS tapes=} Yup! I'm a dinosaur!
