50s/60s murder detective film

Vaguely remember watching a film on TV about 10 years ago. It appeared to be 1950s to 1970s maximum. I can't remember the exact plot but I remember that at some point in the film a man walks up behind a woman he knows (I think she's blonde) whilst she's sitting in front of a mirror. He rubs her neck for her then quickly snaps it - killing her. Police then find the body later on in the film buried within a wall. They found it because an alarm went off on the watch she was wearing. Vague I know but hat's about all I can remember but it's really bugging me that I can't recall any more about it or the name of the film. I don't think it's a mystery film.

It is an episode of the series "Columbo",
"Columbo Cries Wolf":

You can watch it here (with some foreign dubbing):

Near the end of the episode, ca. at the 89 min 14 sec mark you can see Columbo finding the body in the wall.
