Mystery dissapearance thriller

mid to early 00, possibly late 90's

Features a man that I believe has lost his wife or girlfriend, possibly daughter but probably not.

I recall him working as something like a janitor in a shopping mall, this is also where his wife went missing, in the underground parking garage, she was possibly taken by someone. The main chatacter becomes somewhat obsessed with figuring out what happened to her and views security camera footage from the parking garage. There might be that he sees his wife in her car.. not sure about that one.

The main character is somewhat of a loner, depressed type. The ending as I can recall sheds not much light to the mystery. It is kind of a mellow yet a little creepy feel to it.

Please help, I've been trying to figure this one out at least for a couple of years!

Thanks

"Fear X" (2003)

From IMDb review:  Security guard Harry Caine (John Turturro) works at a shopping mall but is stunned by grief when his wife is viciously shot and murdered in the underground parking lot. Caine then spends all his spare time insanely going through CCTV security tapes, hoping to spot the identity of the killer.

Yes! That is awesome! That's the one! Thank you so much, I will truly enjoy watching this again :D
You're welcome! I'm happy that I could help.

I saw it just once, but for some reason it stayed with me. I always recall Turturro in it.

Thanks for the BA and the gold star=}
