western movie on TV from late 1950's -the "good guy" is held while one of the wounded outlaws shoots him in palm of his hand in retaliation for being wounded in hand himself.

The good guy is behind a boulder while having a shoot out with a half dozen outlaws. Good guy wounds gang leader in hand. Outlaws get control and capture good guy when he runs out of ammo I think. Two of the outlaws restrain the good guy and force him to hold out his arm with hand open. In retaliation, the gang leader shoots good guy in the palm of his hand to get even. Good guy wraps his hand with bandanna and is allowed to get on his horse and ride away. I'm 90% sure this was a movie, (or remotely possible it was an episode of a western series on TV), But also possible it was seen in a movie theater.

Thank you

Here is a trailer where at the 0.36 second mark you can see the early part of the 'hand shooting' scene.
