Contemporary book about a teenage girl

I remember starting to read the book, I must have leave it somewhere and forgot it for a while...I started to remember things from it and it really bothers me.

She is traveling at her family's house like in a vacation. No one likes her for some reason, maybe they are snobs. She communicates with a girl of her age, a cousin I think,  that seem very girly and arrogant. She clearly hates her but pretends to like her. THat girl has a brother too.

I remember reading that she went to the beach where she saw this strange guy. If I'm not mistaken he's redhaired. What I'm sure is that he is hot. He was walking with his dog when he caught her eye. He also noticed her. The brother of that girl that I was talking about, a relative to our main character too, was with some friends and apparently they have smth against him so they go after him. She knows where he went but tells the gang the other direction saving him. He relative also understood that he was lied too so he scared our main character by warning her somehow. Also, his sister told her not to get involved with the beach guy. That's is. It's not much but since I didn't read much it's all I have.

Also, he seemed strange, I had this impression that this is a fantasy book, I might be wrong though. Still, they have some kind of secret, her mom is also acting weird, they were supposed to go from their relatives but stayed. Smth is going on.

this is about a woman that comes back home, not a teenage girl that is a guest in a relative's house
