80s or 90s action movie

I saw this movie when I was a kid. I was born in 1990 and my brother showed it to me. I remember that it made a big impression on me due I was not so old . it was pretty violent. I think it was a war movie. War film in the future maybe?
I remember only small fragments of it. I can name three scenes I remember.

Scene 1: There is a scene in the movie where a guy gets whipped by a long whip. and his back was full of wounds afterwards.

Scene 2: There was a scene where a man was injured and his legs was  stuck in the ground, another soldier tried to get with him and tried to pull him up from what he was stuck in, and his legs fell off. And I think they had to leave him beacuse they was in a hurry.

Scene 3: The last thing I remember was a large monster made of metal? (or many monsters?) I remember there was one soldier that had to  climb up on the back of the monster and open a lid, and throw a bomb into the monster. And the monster exploded. This was at the very end of the film I think

Thanks for all help. I want so much to see this movie again. And sorry for my english;)

That sounds like Starship Troopers. There are a couple sequels, but they are not even close to as good. Stick with the first one:
