Disney(esque) film about lady who acquires house & finds bunch of runaway or orphaned kids in woods behind house... eventually fosters or adopts kids.

I remember enjoying the film but only have a vague recollection of the possible details which if I remember correctly are:
-It's one of those disney(esque), feelgood, family, drama, comedy with a romance element from the 60's or early 70's.
-A 25-30 y.o. lady moves into a house she's somehow recently inherited or acquired. I want to say she is a "proper" lady in the old fashioned sense. She may have been widowed or was never married.
-She finds a shack or shelter of some kind in the woods behind her house
-It turns out that a bunch of kids live in the shelter... ages between about 4 years and 12.
-The kids are either orphaned or runaways
-There is a typical smart aleck older kid who protects his friends and a comic relief tiny kid

-Someone else may or may not (my memory could be mixing this up w/ another film) be after the kids... any or ll or none of the following: some men or maybe the parents who are no good, or maybe some child welfare people.

-The lady also has a man who's interested in her or she's interested in him. Whatever the case, one is initially not interested.
-The man may be a preacher or someone with money or not.
-The lady does not initially want the kids, but she is not unkind.
-There is some drama about whether or not the lady is able or wants to keep the children.

-In the end the lady and the man get together and they take the kids in... I think she adopts them.
