Movie seen on TV, Boy sea fishing with his Dad and other fishermen, storm hits just boy and injured delirious father left

I remember a movie i watched either late 70's or early eighties, a boy maybe early teens i think,  he talks his dad into taking him to work one day fishing with him and his work mates on their boat. the next thing i remember is they are all pulling in loads of fish on rods, maybe Tuna, just as a storm hits. Then i remember all the crew are dead/gone except his delirious injured father and himself, he then sorts his Dad out, eventually fixes a leak/hole in the boat, pumps out the water fixes the engine and eventually sails the boat back to harbor - Good Movie, please  help, would love to see it again.
