Girl gets kidnapped and talking animals lead her grandfather to her captors.

I can't remember too much but as I was very little last time I saw it. (It can't be any newer then the late 90's as it was on VHS) but I remember that there where talking animals. There was a family of rabbits and one was fat and got stuck every time he tried to go into their rabbit hole. There was an owl that said "for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction."  There was a little girl and I think she was just visiting her grandfather (maybe she was living with him I can't remember.) and she was kidnapped by these two guys on a motorcycle. I think her dog went and told the rabbits what happened and somehow they got the grandfather attention and led him to his granddaughter. I remember one of the bad guys saying to the other guy "don't break that mirror it's seven years bad luck." I remember that it was winter in the movie and I'm pretty sure her grandfather was a ranger or something of the sort. This movies is animated. and for some strange reason I have a feeling that this movie was Canadian (could be wrong on that.) h

Anything else you can remember? Did the animals talk to the humans? The kidnapping was the main plot?
I think the girl could talk to the animals but no one else could. I think I was the main plot point but I remember something very vaguely about the rabbits being in trouble, like a something was trying to catch/kill them... sorry that's all I can remember. Thanks for your help :)
It's tiny heroes. :) thanks so much!

"Tiny Heroes"

Glad that was it. Difficult to track down. The fat rabbit was the key....
