Colossal Four-legged monster with in a desert.

The closest description would best be explained through this image.

Its very similar, only it is in some kind of desert, it is extremely big, and it has a simple biological structure. Just four legs in a cross-shape, and a mouth underneath its central torso like an octopus.

Maybe the recent
"Godzilla" (2014) movie's M.U.T.O. monster? It is similar to what you describe in your question.

Here you can watch all M.U.T.O. scenes from the movie. BTW, there is a male and a female M.U.T.O. in the movie, with some difference (one of them, either the male or the female, I do not know, has wings and can fly).  At 3:07 in the video above there is a scene where one of the MUTOs is walking in the Nevada desert.
