Late 70's early 80's think Britsh strange film man trapped in car in trees. Maybe told in flashbacks

Hi, This film I think I saw on TV or VHS. Man has crashed car and it's stuck high in trees.

It could be that is loops around that he never escaped and it ends with his back in the car still stck up a tree.

Was 1970's, possibly early 80's

"Perched on a Tree"(1971)?

It's French, though, not British. You may have seen an English dubbed version, but here is the full movie from YouTube. It's in French, sorry.
Thabks, but Nope. My film was rented or watch on TV. Was definitely in English. Remember it was a mind twisting horror. Also definitely late 1970's to early 80's.
I think as some point he thinks he's escaped but in the end it's his mind playing tricks.
Oh, okay. I'm really intrigued by this one! What made you think it was British? Were there British accents? Could this have been an episode of a TV series? Do you remember what any of the actors looked like?
