90's tv movie about a group of undercover cops

90's tv movie about a group of undercover cops. I remember watching this late one night years ago, basically a group of undercover cops help to protect a teenage female witness/victim, one of the cops had long hair and road a motorcycle, another one was a rich, lived in a mansion and was supposedly the grandson of Charlie Chaplin's manager. The girl was played by a Britney, whilst at the time I thought it was Brittany Murphy I cant find the movie on her filmography. I think the team were narcotic cops.

How many cops were undercover? Could this be 80s or 2ks (I can't find it in the 90s on imdb)? Anything else you remember? Was it comedy too? This isn't like "21 jump street" is it?
I would say it was 90's possibly very early 2000s, it may have been an actual cinema release as opposed to a tv movie, but I'm pretty sure it was a tv release. Maybe four or five cops, some comedy elements, but mainly drama. It was between 15 and 20 years ago I saw it. The motorcycle cop was a Sam Elliott type if that makes any sense. I'm pretty sure the long haired cop dies near the end
Just a thought...

"Sunset Beat"  (1990 and 1992 TV series)

Unfortunately,  I can't find  anything on YouTube.  I have it videotaped, but that's no help.
It's not that, although I do remember that show. The cops weren't undercover as a motorcycle gang, only 1 had a bike.

The weird thing is undercover is not a keyword working for me. Did they go undercover at school to protect her?
I cant remember much more, but dont think they went into the school.
Looks like you were right, from what little i can find online it definitely seems to be the sunset beat pilot and it was Amy Dolenz that I thought was a Britney.
Hey, MystMoonstruck, you can submit this as the official answer. Thanks.
