Hiya hope you can help me find a David Niven film, I must say the film is definitely NOT ‘stairway to heaven’ I can recall the last ten minutes of film only......D.N is speeding towards a cliff top hotel, it is a stormy bleak night, the car D.N is driving is a small sports type car. The film is a 1940’s film (I think) black & white. He arrives at the hotel, enters the foyer, asks the receptionist where the dining room is, enters dining room and approaches a dark haired female sitting at a large circular table, she is alone. They have a brief conversation then the scene cuts to a large group of people celebrating a birthday, David Niven and the dark haired female are amongst the group, there are balloons on the table, lots of chatting and enjoyment by the numerous people young and older with several children in the party. The camera turns towards the huge window facing the raging stormy sea, waves crashing against the rocks, the credits are rolling as the movie comes to THE END.
