Old color film about soldiers\rebels dressed in civilian clothing in enemy territory

one scene of the film the soldiers\rebels are hiding in the back of a truck that is disguised as a moving truck, An enemy soldier stops the truck and asks to see whats inside. When the back is opened it has box's of furniture and items covering the men. One of the box's has a shower head poking out and the driver of the truck jokes about it. They trick the enemy soldier and continue along.

There may have been a submarine in it but not sure.

"The McKenzie Break" (1970)

German POWs break out from a POW camp, they escape in a lorry which they use as a disguise. I am not sure about the furniture and shower head part, but they head to the Scottish coast where they are picked up by a German submarine (U-boat).

In the meantime I checked the movie and I found the scene in question. First they disguise the lorry as a red vehicle carrying dangerous explosives, but later they change the disguise to removal services. When they want to use a ferry, the ferryman checks the back of the lorry and one of the German POWs in civilian clothes shows the furniture and the shower head to the ferryman.
