Slaptick comedy

Date: Second half of the 90s or early 2000s.
Country of origin: Don't know, mostly caucasian actors.
Genre: Comedy, adventure.

Multiple teams were competing to find a location, a building, that looks like a huge warehouse on the outside. The bulk of the movie is the search for it and I only have info from once they are inside.
It's full of non-lethal traps and obstacles.
There is staircase that turns into a slide and it leads to a pool filled with inflatable crocodiles.
There is a door that has no handle on one side and it's suddenly opened from the other side.
Another door hides increasingly smaller doors behind it and when the last and smallest door is opened, there is a dwarf behind it, who kicks the explorer in the shin.
The very last scene may have been set in an alley.

This sounds familiar, but I cannot find it. We are thinking a spoof? Anything else they can remember? The race took the whole movie?
The race was most of the movie. I don't know if it's a spoof, if it is, the questioner didn't recognise it as such. I checked a few It's a Mad, Mad, Man, Mad World spoofs now but they don't seem to match.
I have been through a lot of films on this one, and nothing yet. That door gag has to be the answer to something....
Was there anything else they remember? At this point we might ask about "Rat Race", "Africa Race", "The Mini", "Epic Movie", "Hungover Games", "Starving Games", "Midgets vs Mascots"
I looked into all of these but I don't think it's one of them. Thanks for suggestions though. I asked for more trap descriptions from the questioner, maybe that'll help.
