A thriller with paranormal elements

Date: 90s or the beginning of the 2000s.

Country of origin: Probably the U.S, mostly Caucasian actors.

It's about a woman who sees a man in her dreams, they probably have sex and at one point she gets a key from him, which she finds in her hand when she wakes up. She goes to somebody who knows about paranormal stuff, presents the key and when that person touches it, the key delivers a shock.

It was suspenseful, it maybe had murders too and an element of eroticism.

The woman might have had a fiancé or a husband.
