A Max Gail movie in which he says "Everything is in Order"

I think this movie is a sci fi from the 70s or 80s. Max Gail is a man who is affected by some supernatural or alien force and at some point he, in his trance-like, gazing stupor, mutters "Everything is in order." to his family and/or friends. I thought it was Killdozer from 1974 but I'm dead wrong. Anyone have an idea?
