What is the name of the movie where a character is drowned by the incoming tide when his foot is stuck in some rocks?

I'm thinking of a movie, possibly made-for-TV (although I may have seen it on HBO?), from the 80s-90s. There were a bunch of people stranded on an island, perhaps due to a shipwreck. The image that I remember most clearly is a long sequence in which a kid drowns because he gets his foot stuck under a rock and can't get it out before the tide comes up. I believe bags of drugs (maybe cocaine or heroin) were washed up on the beach from a shipwreck. The group is at one point threatened by a wild boar. Anyone? My deepest gratitude in advance.

Thanks!! The drowning sequence seems to have been severely edited down, basically out, by Disney, or my childhood memory was more macabre than reality, but that's definitely the movie I was thinking of.
