Sequel to Enemy Mine

Enemy Mine starred Dennis Quaid (1985) was a movie about two species engaged in intergalactic war. (Humans vs Alien)

A pilot (Dennis Quaid) during a dogfight manages to bring down an alien fighter and also crash lands on the planet. The two form an unlikely partnership in order to survive the harsh environment and discover that they are not as unlike as they previously thought.

A sequel (Perhaps spiritual sequel) was made with a similar title that I cannot currently recall. I remember seeing it in Netflix and the premise was very similar, in which the human race was made extinct except for one surviving member who was being transported. He managed to escape and is being hunted down by the aliens who were responsible for the extinction of his people.
