Ending Scene in Rocky III - The Punch?

Here's the link to the Leroy Neiman painting:

Just wondering if Stallone or Carl Weathers ever explained if they actually connected & hit eachother???

Maybe VH_Lives would know this.  He has his finger on the pulse around here.

Hey Jepp, I appreciate your kind words. I do try to help, by remembering and searching, because I love to help folks. The rest of the experts here are much better than I, but I truly do appreciate the sentiment;made my day. As for that scene, I am not sure. I dug a little, but saw nothing regarding the realness of that particular scene. I can say Lundgren did punch him for real in 4, but as for the others, I do believe, due to injuries, the first rocky/apollo had some real punches.  I would only be venturing a guess here, so I can say to ask at the imdb board of 3, and any rocky fan boards. Plus, for fun, you could write letters to the real men through imdbpro, i think, and get it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. If I can be of any more assistance, let me know. Have a good one.

I have searched high & low but never the suggestions that you pointed out.

I like to give some out of the box suggestions, if possible.  Please let us know what you come up with, because I am eager to know. Good hunting.
