Boxer falsely imprisoned to protect his brother who beat a black man

The movie starts with the main character, who is was a promising boxer before he was incarcerated, gets released from prison. He goes back to his dysfunctional family situation, and begins to live with his brother, his bro's gf, their kid, his mother's bf, and his mom, who seems to be never around because she is the only responsible, employed adult.
You find out as the movie progresses that his brother is a rageaholic, who is, naturally, an asshat. Interwoven into the movie is the lives of the black family, who's eldest son was beaten so badly that he is now mentally disabled. The mother is furious that the main character has been released, and encourages her husband to kill him. What you learn at the end, is that the main character was just covering for his brother, who was the bigoted douchebag that he is, and beat the young black guy all those years ago.

Was it american? When/where did you see it?
I think it's American. Could be Canadian. Saw it online a long time ago. Just remember watching it on megavideo multiple times, but I cannot remember the name for the life of me. No really big name movie stars. I've seen the main character as minor people in TV shows since, but I can't remember those either.
