Please help me name this childhood film

I only remember a little bit of the film but if anyone recognies it and can help me end my torture I would really appreciate it.
Here it goes-
At the start there is about five ghost standing around a pram(they look like humans) singing to a baby boy. The ghosts decided to stop appearing to the child but then when he is an adult something happens and they start appearing to him again. I remember that he freaks out then when they sing to him he remembers them.
Nearly sure they were watching him his whole life and now need to help him with something.
The film is a comedy.
I hope this is enough for someone to help.
