crime, detective movie, but not 100% sure?

You see a woman who possibly is the main character enter a house. She speaks with a family with two children. She feels like something is wrong and looks around the house. She notices in the kids room the floor is wrapped in plastic, which the parents say that the children often makes a mess so it is easier to clean. The woman then realize that the family doesnt have any photos of their children on the walls. She looks through their drawers and everything without finding any photos. So she realizes they kidnapp and kill the children.

Sadly I only remember one scene from this movie, so there is not much to go on. I keep thinking it has to do with mystery or detective, crime stuff. I am not sure. The woman is also with a man, earlier in the movie, but I dont remember if they work together or if he is the main character.
