Kids cartoon film with talking books

So this film is either 1990's or early 2000's. From what I remember, it was about a boy in a library and then a wizard turns him into a cartoon. There's 2 or 3 cartoon talking books with him on his adventure. I remember a specific scene where they climb a mountain. I have been searching for this film for a couple of years now with no luck! Hopefully someone else remembers it!
