ww2 desert drama from the 1980,s

ww2 war drama set in north africa.

either SAS or commandos on a mission which leaves the brits lost and short on water etc.

they kill a wounded allied pilot and partially eat him in order to survive.

one brit falls down a sand dune and comes face to face with a skeleton soldier lying by an abandoned truck.

does this ring any bells with anyone please.
