Western, starts with wagon wreck, man asks his daughter to shoot the horse

The man ends up in the hospital where he meets his brother who is an alcoholic. His daughter visits and he tells her to get his shotgun and shoot the horse. She tries but can't do it. Her daughter is afraid she will so she runs away with the horse as the man and his brother escape from the hospital. The men walk home on the railroad tracks while the women search for the girl and horse. They all finally get home and the movie ends with the man carrying his gun and leading the horse away.
