Black romantic comedy late '90s or early 2000s "don't stop chasing waterfalls"

This movie is hysterically funny. I first watched it in 2003 but I don't know what year it was made or if it was new or a few years old at that time.

The song "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls" is played a lot in the movie.

All the actors are black.

It's a romantic comedy and it was great therapy for me when I was going through a divorce.

I would love to watch it again sans the divorce this time! It's funny as hell.

I've searched for years trying to find all moves that play that song and it just doesn't turn up for me.

A six pack of Bartles & James to whoever can tell me the name of this movie!

Maybe the "Half & Half" sitcom?
The Big Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls Episode:
This was a full movie not a TV show episode.
TLC did some songs on the soundtrack for "Waiting to Exhale", but "watetfalls" was not one of them, as far as I can see. Is there anything you can remember about the film?
The women were professionals and it seems they would be in an office some of the time. Humorous drama around the relationships in the storyline. It seems the  movie had many characters. It was seriously funny!
does sound like "Waiting to Exhale"
OK thanks. I'll check it out.
It's not Waiting to Exhale. For one thing, I know this movie did not have Whitney Houston and the song Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls was played in it.
If you go to, you can search soundtracks. On the home screen, click on the drop down key next to the Search icon and go to Advanced Search. Scroll down to Title Text Search and choose the drop down key to choose Soundtracks. Type in TLC in the box to the right. You will get tv series and the movie Waiting to Exhale. (If you type in the song title you'll get zero references.) Good luck otherwise.
