Film from the early 2000's:
Here are some plot points I remember:
A man breaks into expensive homes. At one home he kidnaps a boy who was home when the house was supposed to be empty.
One scene I remember is the boy is tied to a bed, and he was talking about his father with the kidnapper about how his dad "doesn't cry", there is a dramatic dialogue that follows.
Some point after this the kidnapper goes to the jail. He gets a man out of jail to dig a hole for him in order to escape.
Near the end of the movie he attempts to break into an expensive home dressed as a repairman. As he is performing the robbery he runs into a boy. He tries to kidnap the boy but gets caught. The cops were able to predict which house he was going to rob with the help of the boy (now older) who he kidnapped years ago.
*I do not remember a single actor from this movie or exactly what year it came out.
