Movie about a guy who falls in love with a lesbian?

I've never seen this movie, but it turned up on a suggestions list on dvd.netflix.com, forgot what the title was. The movie cover shows a picture of a blond woman but don't remember details beyond that, and it was apparently an older movie, somewhere I believe in the 70s-90s range. It could have been any year between that range. It was something about a guy who falls for a lesbian but she's not interested in him because she is of course a lesbian. I don't know details from the description beyond that.
