Does anyone know what this movie might be?

There's a movie I'm looking for. It's from 1990-2001, but it could be earlier than that. There are two kids, probably a boy and girl, that stumble upon a place that is abandoned, they come across a compass or watch which allows them to travel to different places/maybe times. Wherever they go, there is an old man.

It's not Jumanji or Clockstoppers

Sounds like "Voyagers", but it's a TV series from 1983-1983. You're looking for a movie.
